EDREV
Verde was born in Florence, Italy, in 1995. She lives and works in Peckham, London. Using oil paint on canvas, she challenges classical compositions by presenting contemporary themes that break down past archetypes. Thus, the painting serves as a third dimension in which the past and present confront one another. Over the years she has worked with drawing, airbrushing, video-making and cooking. Often presented collectively, the different languages sustain each other by creating a bigger space for the audience to enter. Through her work, Verde strives to understand the world’s dynamics which she is involved in, such as gender identity, intimacy and motherhood.
